Somehow I think Sibelius ought to know that when you change to a transposing instrument you want the score to sound in the correct pitch for that instrument (that is, if you are playing a Bb cornet you want the written C to sound like Bb).Īgain, many thanks to you and Richard Hatton for your help. This works for a score written in C, so I'm not sure what will happen if there is a different key signature, but that's for another time. This removed the key signature but left the notes in their correct positions with correct pitches. ![]() Notations > Key Signature > A Tonal/No Key This put the notes in the correct positions with the correct pitch, but left the key signature visible, which would create an error for the player.ĥ. Note Input > Transpose > Transpose by Interval > Down a Major/Perfect 2nd This changed the key from C to D (two sharps in the score) and moved all of the notes to incorrect positions.Ĥ.
